Consumer: DIY and Residential Construction
With a full range of GE-branded consumer sealants, foams and glues, Momentive makes it possible for do-it-yourselfers, residential contractors and remodelers to complete almost any sealing project on the interior or exterior of the home. The consumer product line, which features premium waterproof 100 percent silicone, paintable waterproof silicone, Groov* and acrylic caulk, is sold at home improvement, hardware and mass merchant stores, including WalMart, The Home Depot, Lowe’s and Target. Additionally, the products are sold in tens of thousands of co-op and independent hardware stores nationally, including Ace, True Value, and Do-It-Best, as well as via distribution channels.
Commercial Construction
Momentive offers a broad portfolio of GE-branded commercial construction sealants, adhesives and coatings for a range of commercial construction applications from weathersealing and structural glazing to insulating glass, fenestration and specialty applications. Across the globe, in new and remedial projects, GE construction sealants have been used on commercial buildings from the Shanghai World Financial Center and Lotus Temple to the Empire State Building and Chicago Institute of Art. The design community, including architects, consultants, engineers and other façade designers, rely heavily on Momentive’s products and technical support to meet their increasingly-demanding design and performance criteria. The products are also sold around the globe to distributors, curtainwall manufacturers, window/door manufacturers and contract glazing customers, all of who value the operational efficiency and high-performance that GE commercial construction sealants provide.
